Tropical Influence is the business name which has been operating part time for over twenty years and full time since 2001. We started as an agency supplying retailers with sterling silver jewellery from various wholesalers in Australia and are now involved in the business of importing our own sourced supplies.
I have been involved in the Jewellery industry for over twenty five years. In that time, I have worked as a Sales Representative, Jewellery buyer, Jewellery agent and now import my own sterling silver products from Indonesia.
Jewellery is my passion and always has been. I started years ago making my own jewellery and setting up at Paddington markets on a saturday. From there, I realised that I loved being surrounded in colours of beautiful stones and the glistening shine of silver.
The Sales Rep industry took me from selling silver, gold, diamonds, emeralds. opals and pearls to buying trips in Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Thailand and Bali.
Bali is a world I fell in love with. The people, the land, the culture, the music and the many artistic talents of these people.
As a buyer for companies in the past, there wasn't much spare time to search so Trade Fairs became an area where many pieces were found.
These days, you'll find me as far away as possible from the hustling trade fairs and as close to the factories as possible. I am at my best when searching for hidden factories that are not normally frequented by too many travellers; looking for unique pieces that compliment retail stores and stand them out from the rest.

Here you will not find twenty of each piece. I have spent many enough years learning from retailers that they do not want to have the same piece as the next person. They want something unique so that their customers will keep coming back. This reason is always in the back of my mind as I work hard to find those individual pieces that shine out and make a statement.
Each piece is carefully handcrafted by individual artisans from Indonesia. Pieces are creatively designed to allow for the stones to shine at their best. Shells are wrapped in silver lining creating stunning styles that stand out.
The "925" stamp on each piece is assurance that the metal is 92.5% silver.This is an industry standard.
Many different types of stones are used in our products including: Black Onyx,Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Garnet, Peridot, Blue Topaz, Citrine, Laramar, Agate,Druzy Crystal, Chalcedony, Prehnite, Synthetic Peridot and many others.We are very careful about who we choose for suppliers, only using those with the highest quality standards.

All sterling silver jewellery represented in our store is hand-crafted in Indonesia. (There are a few plain sterling silver bracelets and earrings from Hong Kong).
